Changing of the guard at the LC Police Dept. effective immediately
New Lincoln County
Outgoing Lincoln City Police Chief Keith Kilian turned over his job to Lt. Jerry Palmer as they stood before the Lincoln City City Council Monday evening. City Manager Ron Chandler (R) observed "Chief Killian has decided to retire to the golf links" and that LCPD Lt. Jerry Palmer will take over the job.

Pa. trooper honored for valor, sacrifice | Turkeys and Trophies

Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Seth Kelly says he has no memory of what happened to him Nov. 7. That's the day he went to back up a fellow trooper making a traffic stop on Route 33. Kelly, a resident of Upper Nazareth Township, was shot four times by the driver, Daniel Khalil Clary. Kelly survived the injuries after a 12-day induced coma and multiple surgeries at St. Luke's University Hospital. Last week he was named 2017 Trooper of the Year by the International Association of Chiefs of Police, among four finalists nominated for the honor throughout the U.S. and Canada. Clary is awaiting trial on attempted homicide and other charges.
