Malheur County Sheriff's deputy receives award for efforts in
DUII enforcement

Twenty-seven
times in 2018, a Malheur County Sheriff's deputy was able to get
intoxicated individuals off of local roads. A recommendation from one of the
sergeants at the sheriff's office, as well as that from an Oregon State
Police trooper, who both realized the value of the deputy's efforts, got
Deputy Tony Lopez on the radar for the Oregon chapter of Mothers Against
Drunk Driving.

women rescued at Seattle massage parlors in human trafficking bust

Seattle police said they rescued 26 women after a
three-and-a-half-year human trafficking investigation into massage parlors
across the city. After receiving dozens of complaints, police investigated
11 businesses and arrested six people for promoting prostitution and money
laundering.
