Grants Pass held a City Council meeting on Monday where one of the topics discussed was an update on the new police headquarters in Grants Pass. Interior work is progressing as planned and the project is on time for completion - estimated for September or October on this year.

 OACP 2019 Annual Conference President's Award

A President's Award was given to North Bend PD and Chief Rob Kappelman. Chief Kris Allison (OACP's current President), had the privelege of presenting it. Wording on the award reads:

"In recognition of your efforts to make the City of North Bend a safer community. As a result of the efforts of the women and men of the North Bend Police Department, under Chief Rob Kappelman's leadership, the City of North Bend saw a 53% reduction in property crime and a 38% reduction in violent crime."
