Gratitude…It’s the word that comes to mind as we
say goodbye to 2019 and look forward to a new decade. As we look back on
the past year, there are so many reasons to be thankful. It is a privilege
to serve a profession that continues to perform a heroic mission, with a
firm commitment to integrity, excellence and justice. It’s an honor to
support leaders who are rowing together to lead agencies where officers
thrive and communities are safe. To insure that Oregon law enforcement
remains committed to delivering the most just and professional policing in
the United States and to creating a state where living, working, and
playing can take place in peace. It’s hard to believe that The Victory
Group is completing 25 years with the Oregon Association Chiefs of Police…25
Annual Conferences, 25 OACP presidents, and along the way, working
alongside too many great leaders to count. As we turn the page on 2019 and
look forward in anticipation to a brand new year, we do so with a renewed
passion for serving all of you as you step into a new decade with all of
its challenges and opportunities. On behalf of your whole OACP team (Marie,
Deanna, Annie, Paula, and me), thank you for continuing to trust us with
this important work.
Happy New Year!
